Isodiol

Graphic Design / Web Design / Social Media

Title: Visual Designer / Dates: 08.2018 - 12.2018 / Industry: CPG / E-commerce / B2C / B2B / Cosmetics / Supplements

From August 2018 to December 2018, I worked as a Visual Designer for Isodiol, located in Escondido, CA. Isodiol is an international publicly-traded company that grows industrial hemp and manufactures bulk formulations and retail products containing Cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive component found in the cannabis plant. For more information, check out isodiol.com.

As a part of the media team at Isodiol, I worked closely with other designers, content creators, web developers, and the Marketing Manager on a variety of projects: product packaging, marketing campaign ideation and implementation, web page design, large-scale trade show print materials, marketing materials, and social media campaigns. In these projects, I usually worked through the entire project from ideation/assignment, to design, to revisions, to final print-ready files. I also participated in projects that exposed me to UX/UI design practices, copy and content creation, social media management, and basic web management practices.

Under the umbrella of Isodiol, different retail products are managed under different brands: Pot-O-Coffee for coffee products, ISO-Sport for athletic supplements, CBDXtreme for vaping e-liquids and edibles, and so on. It was not uncommon for me to design for 10 or more unique brands — and unique graphic styles — in any given week.

MARKETING ASSETS

I created the above images for Instagram. Usually, all posts would be made with corresponding Instagram Story posts for increased visibility and interaction. Many images started as stock photos, and then were edited in Photoshop to add products or other elements.

The first 3 images were all part of one post. The first image was the cover image that would display on the Instagram wall, then the user would be able to scroll through the post to see the other two images, which show the products more closely. The pine branches were added as part of a holiday campaign.
